The September 2020 American Perspectives Survey explores Americans’ perceptions about popular conspiracy theories related to the COVID-19 pandemic, politics, and public health. The national survey of 2,006 adults was conducted using Ipsos’ probability-based online KnowledgePanel and asks Americans to rate the accuracy of various conspiracy theories including QAnon, the deep state, birtherism, and whether vaccines cause autism. The survey also probes Americans levels of trust with different sources of news, concerns about the upcoming election, and the political identity of their friendship networks.
