May 2023 American Perspectives Survey

Interview Dates: May 16–May 24, 2023

The May 2023 American Perspectives Survey (APS) provides key insights on Americans' trust in science amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The national survey of over 5,000 adults illuminates that while confidence is decreasing overall, there are significant political and religious divides in the public's trust in scientists and the scientific method.
